Joel Briscoe (D-Salt Lake City) “that would help keep tenants from paying multiple background check fees when applying for apartments.” Background check fees, as we know, are necessary. Tenants demand safe living spaces and landlords need to protect their tenants and their property. Background checks are not free and sometimes safety comes with financial costs.
