2022 METRO 2® FORMAT ADVANCED WORKSHOPS

The Advanced Metro 2® Format Workshops will be offered this year as a virtual event over three half-days from 11:00 – 4:30 pm ET each day. The Metro 2® Advanced Workshops are best for individuals who are familiar with the individual fields in Metro 2® but wish to continue their learning & stay current with industry guidelines.

Equifax, Experian, Innovis and TransUnion will guide you through key Metro 2® reporting requirements

New this year, attendees will be able to attend a complimentary bonus session: e-OSCAR® update with Joel Strickland where he will discuss a variety of topics about e-OSCAR®, including an overview of services and offerings available, an update on e-OSCAR’s® development roadmap, and what things the team is working on to make your job of responding to consumer credit disputes simpler.

In addition, all registrants will receive the webinar series’ recordings for 30-days post the event to review any content they missed. Day 1

Welcome & Opening Remarks

Date of First Delinquency/ Payment Status/ Payment History Profile

In this session, we will discuss the standards surrounding the important fields of Date of First Delinquency, Payment Status and Payment History Profile.  The group will complete new scenarios that will provide valid illustrations of how these key fields work in harmony.

Bankruptcy Chapter 7

Do you know how to report accounts included in Bankruptcy Chapter 7 following completion of your required pre-work?

This session focuses on the reporting of Bankruptcy Chapter 7 and the different guidelines for the filer and non-filer.  Sample scenarios will be completed to clarify how the guidelines are used each month throughout the Bankruptcy Chapter 7 lifecycle.

Bankruptcy Chapter 13

Following completion of the bankruptcy Chapter 13 webinar as part of your required pre-work, in this session, we will discuss the simplified guidelines for reporting an account included in bankruptcy Chapter 13 for both a filer and non-filer.  In addition to an open discussion, you will complete a scenario representing the life cycle of the bankruptcy from petition through resolution and beyond.

Day 2

Speed Networking Session

Speed Networking works a lot like ‘Speed Dating’ without the ‘dating’. A structured opportunity to meet accomplished professionals just like yourself, in a virtual, fast-paced, face to face. Whether you are new to the industry or a long-time expert- this event offers the perfect occasion to expand your business and social contacts. Door prizes and giveaways included for those who participate!

Transferred Accounts

This session will discuss the best practices for reporting accounts that are transferred internally or to a servicer.  Specific focus will detail the two options available to accurately report transferred accounts to the credit reporting agencies.

Sold Accounts

In this session, we will review the guidelines for how to report accounts that have been sold to another company.  You will complete a scenario to report a sold account.

Temporary Relief Payment Plan Reporting Review  

You spoke, we listened!!  This session will highlight NEW FAQ 43. A full review of the FAQ that describes the reporting guidelines for accounts in a Payment Holiday/Skip-a-Pay, deferred accounts, and accounts in forbearance.  The FAQ also provides suggested guidance for developing business policies and procedures for these types of temporary plans and how they need to fit within key Metro 2® reporting standards.

Logical Data Field Relationships

Test and demonstrate your understanding of Metro 2®, as members of the Task Force walk you through complex data field combinations and scenarios to highlight impacts to accuracy and integrity.  You will identify and/or correct illogical values for provided scenarios in this highly interactive session.

Day 3

Compliance Condition Codes

This session will review the best practices for reporting direct consumer disputes using the Compliance Condition Code field.

Compliance Condition Codes are reported to reflect accounts closed at consumer’s request and direct consumer disputes under the FCRA, FCBA, and FDCPA.

Industry Reporting Highlights

In this general session we will discuss topics covering various elements across the reporting landscape, followed by industry breakout discussions.

Among others, topics include: 1) Reordering of FAQs, 2) Credit Reporting Suppression, 3) Point of Sale Industry Standards, and 4) Special Comment Code Usage.

e-OSCAR® Update with Joel Strickland

Join Joel Strickland, Director of Client Relations for e-OSCAR®, as he discusses a variety of topics about e-OSCAR®, including an overview of services and offerings available, an update on e-OSCAR’s development roadmap, and what things the team is working on to make your job of responding to consumer credit disputes simpler. This session will include a live Q&A with the speaker.

This workshop is for individuals who are familiar with the individual fields in Metro 2® but wish to continue your learning & stay current with industry guidelines. For individuals who are new data reporting, it is recommended that individuals attend the Metro 2® Fundamentals Webinar Series prior to the Advanced Workshop to best support the more accelerated paces of the Advanced Workshop.
