Modules

Module 1: What is UDAP/UDAAP? (11 minutes) – Dive into the core definitions of “unfair,” “deceptive,” and “abusive,” and understand their implications for service providers and data security.

Module 2: Consumer Servicing (8 minutes) – Explore the lifecycle of consumer interactions, from origination to servicing and cancellation, emphasizing key compliance touchpoints.

Module 3: Spotting & Preventing UDAAP (13 minutes) – Learn how to recognize potential UDAAP issues, address consumer complaints, and implement best practices for prevention.

Module 4: Examples & Analysis (3 minutes) – Analyze real-world UDAAP scenarios, including consent orders and add-on product cases, to understand how regulations apply in practice.

This is a synched audio-visual course (headphones or speakers are needed to take the training). There are no access restrictions by IP addresses; you will be able to access the site from anywhere.

Exam and Grading Information

CDIA recommends dividing the course into several sessions. Each time you log in to the site, the system will remember your last position. After completing all assigned training modules, you will gain access to the final FCRA exam. If you choose not to take the exam immediately, you can return to the various training modules to review the training material further.

The final exam is a mixture of “true or false” and multiple-choice questions. Upon completion of the exam, you will receive your score immediately and will have the opportunity to review your exam. Upon successful completion, you will receive a certificate (valid for one year) indicating you are knowledgeable about the FCRA and its provisions. If your attempt at the exam is not successful, but you still wish to earn a certificate, you will need to purchase the course again.
