KEYNOTE ANNOUCEMENT

CDIA is pleased to announce Geof Gradler, Deputy Director, of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), will join as our keynote speaker at CDIA Connect, taking place May 6-8 at the Grand Hyatt Washington DC.

This fireside conversation will highlight CFPB priorities spanning the collection and use of consumer data and data furnishing, as well as policy areas such as the Payday Lending Rule and Prepaid Accounts Rule, ECOA & Regulation B, and the Bureau’s fraud‑focused initiatives—issues increasingly central to both consumer protection and industry operations.

The discussion will also take a high‑level look at recent trends and challenges, including FCRA and Regulation V data furnishing violations, and recent enhancements to the CFPB complaint portal. Attendees will gain valuable perspective on what these developments mean for consumers and for organizations operating across the financial services and data ecosystem.

CDIA is pleased to announce that Shelley Leonard, President at Xactus to be our Keynote Speaker at Women in Consumer Data Forum at CDIA Connect.

As a long-time leader in digital verification innovation, Ms. Leonard offers a valuable perspective on technology transformation, consumer experience, and the culture of trust that anchors our industry. Her leadership exemplifies how women can both drive change and command influence across data ecosystems—bridging teams, inspiring innovation, and advancing responsible data use. Ms. Leonard will share her insights on finding and using your voice in data-driven environments and her path to leadership. She will discuss how leaders can build and articulate a vision that drives meaningful impact, how innovation can be pursued both boldly and ethically within the consumer data space, and how inclusive leadership can shape stronger products, policies, and outcomes for the consumers we serve.

CDIA is also excited to announce that Liz Pagel, SVP, Global Head of Alternative Data Solutions, TransUnion will join us as a Keynote on The Future of Consumer Reporting.

In this forward‑looking discussion, Ms. Pagel will help attendees understand how emerging data sources—such as aggregation, cash‑flow analysis, permissioned data, and rental reporting—are reshaping the consumer reporting ecosystem and intersecting with traditional credit data. The keynote will explore the opportunities these innovations create for deeper insight and broader financial inclusion, alongside the risks, responsibilities, and open questions they introduce, and will examine how AI and other advances can be leveraged to strengthen data integrity, enhance consumer protection, and build a more resilient and trusted ecosystem.
