Overview
Anticipated changes to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in a Trump administration may embolden state attorneys general (AGs) and financial regulators to ramp up their already-aggressive enforcement of federal and state consumer financial protection laws. In this program, we review the enforcement authority of state AGs and regulators, survey their enforcement and rulemaking activity in the financial services industry, and discuss what can be done by companies to prepare to defend against state enforcement activity.
Join Scott M. Pearson-Partner, Adrian R. King, Jr.-Practice Leader, John L. Culhane, Jr.-Partner and James Kim-Of Counsel, from Ballard Spahr, for this discussion and analysis of a potential rise in post-election state regulatory enforcements.
