The Compliance Condition Code allows for reporting of a condition required for legal compliance, such as when accounts are closed at consumer’s request, accounts are in dispute under the Fair Credit Billing Act (FCBA), accounts in dispute under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), and/or accounts are in dispute under the direct dispute provisions of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and its implementing rules.
