On July 12, 2018, the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing & Urban Affairs held a hearing, An Overview of the Credit Bureaus and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

The two witnesses were Maneesha Mithal, the Associate Director for the Division of Privacy and Identity Protection at the Federal Trade Commission and Peggy Twohig, and I am the Assistant Director for Supervision Policy at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
