  • David Anthony – Partner, Troutman Pepper, is an experienced trial attorney with a concentration in litigating financial services and business disputes, including class actions. He has significant litigation experience defending cases under the FCRA, FDCPA and numerous other federal and state consumer protection statutes, with particular expertise in matters that often involve companion government investigations.
  • Melissa Baal Guidorizzi – Drawing on nearly two decades in enforcement at the CFPB, she helped shaped federal consumer financial laws including the TILA, UDAAP and the FCRA. Now, a Partner at Orrick, she advises traditional financial institutions and emerging financial technology (fintech) companies on consumer financial services compliance, regulatory investigations and enforcement actions and litigation.
  • Jennifer Sarvadi – Partner, Hudson Cook, Jennifer counsels businesses on compliance with federal and state regulations and consumer protection laws including, among others, the FCRA, FDCPA and prohibitions against unfair, deceptive acts and practices. Jennifer also represents clients in government investigations and enforcement actions, as well as litigation before state agencies.
  • Andrew Smith – Andrew previously served as the Director of the Bureau of Consumer Protection at the FTC, where he was focused on investigations and enforcement of privacy, data security, financial services across a broad range of areas. As a partner at Covington, he advises clients on retail financial services, data protection, advertising and consumer protection, technology, credit reporting, and e-commerce issues. He assists banks, non-bank lenders, technology companies, and their vendors with regulatory compliance, litigation, and transactional matters.
