Last week, CDIA brought together women from across the consumer data industry for our Women in Consumer Data Fall Forum, centered on the theme Women Defining Success on Their Own Terms.
From candid conversations about leadership, career growth and life’s transitions to discussions on the evolving regulatory and technology landscape, the forum offered an opportunity to share experiences, exchange perspectives and build meaningful connections.
During Success on Your Own Terms: Redefining Through Career, Family and Life’s Transitions, Dara Duguay, Chief Executive Officer of Credit Builders Alliance, and Jennifer Sarvadi, Partner at Hudson Cook, LLP, shared personal stories about their career trajectories, reflecting on how their definitions of success have evolved over time.
A few key takeaways stood out: Success doesn’t have to follow a prescribed path. Strong leadership is rooted in authenticity, confidence and a willingness to keep learning. And sometimes, the most important step in advancing your career is having the confidence to ask for what you want.
Attendees also heard from a distinguished panel of industry leaders during Industry Leadership & Emerging Consumer Data and Consumer Reporting Issues, featuring Shereefat Balogun, Assistant Commissioner in the Office of the Commissioner of Financial Regulation for the State of Maryland; Kim Phan, Partner at Troutman Pepper Locke LLP; and Erin Jeweler, Senior Associate General Counsel – SVP at Truist. The discussion explored emerging consumer reporting issues, regulatory shifts and the growing role of data and artificial intelligence in shaping our industry’s future.
A special thank you to our speakers and our event sponsor, Davis Wright Tremaine LLP, for helping make this event possible and supporting opportunities for women across the consumer data industry.
We’re proud of the community we’re building and look forward to continuing these conversations at our next Women in Consumer Data Forum, taking place alongside CDIA Connect, April 13–15, 2027, in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia.
Thank you to everyone who joined us!
