The House Financial Services Committee held a hearing on Sept. 10, 2021, Protecting Renters During the Pandemic: Reviewing Reforms to Expedite Emergency Rental Assistance. The hearing is available by webcast. In advance of the hearing, the majority released a committee memorandum. There were two bills on the agenda for the hearing, H.R. 5196, the Expediting Assistance to Renters and Landlords Act of 2021, and H.R. 3913, the Renter Protection Act of 2021.
