In early-2014, the bill to largely ban the use of credit histories for employment was reintroduced in the New York City Council. The measure, Int. 261-2014, is once again authored by Councilman Brad Lander (D-Park Slope). The bill was heard in the City Council’s Committee on Civil Rights on Sept. 12. CDIA testified in person and offered written testimony.
