CDIA is pleased to announce Andrew Smith, Director of the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) Bureau of Consumer Protection, will be a featured keynote speaker at the 2020 CDIA Virtual Law & Industry Conference on September 24, 2020. Smith will address the FTC’s privacy priorities in his remarks, and elaborate on the Commission’s recent update and improvement of its data security orders.

“The Bureau of Consumer Protection at the FTC oversees large swaths of the consumer reporting industry, and we are honored to have its Director join us,” said Francis Creighton, CDIA President & CEO. “There is no one in the entire government who understands the industry and consumers’ needs more than Andrew Smith, and I’m sure our attendees will learn a lot from his presentation.”
