The House Financial Services Committee held a markup on April 20, 2020, to consider, among other things, H.R. 2547, the Comprehensive Debt Collection Improvement Act, and an amendment in the nature of a substitute, no. 7, offered by Chairwoman Maxine Waters (D-CA).  CDIA wrote a letter concerning a provision on medical debt contained in that amendment.
