In September 2022, U.S. Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC) and U.S. Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC) sent a letter to EEOC Chair, Charlotte A. Burrows. Sen. Burr is the Ranking Member on the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions, and Rep. Foxx is the Ranking Member on the House Committee on Education and Labor. The letter expresses concern over a “noticeable pattern of partisanship and mismanagement at the agency that has developed during the Biden administration.” The letter focuses mostly on the Commission’s case management system.
