In March 2023, the  Subcommittee on Innovation, Data, and Commerce of the House Committee on Energy & Commerce Committee held a hearing: Promoting U.S. Innovation And Individual Liberty Through A National Standard For Data Privacy.

In advance of the hearing, the committee released a hearing memo.
